Nancy Jeffries-Dwyer

Nancy Jeffries-Dwyer began staging backyard musical theatre events at the age of nine. Always living in her imagination, she immersed myself in writing the scripts, finding theme music, designing and sewing the costumes, building the sets, applying the makeup, and narrating the shows. She was hooked and knew she was born to be an event planner.

After high school Nancy studied fashion design at Ryerson University in Toronto. Four years later, she graduated first in the class with a design degree, and came away with real world practical experience in the exciting world of the wedding industry. Saturday afternoons found her modeling designer wedding gowns for prospective brides in an elegant salon at the Robert Simpson Company’s downtown store.

Through her early 20’s she launched two romantic boutique businesses; Heritage Roses and The Enchanted Basket.

Along the way she had 4 children, produced special events for a major department store, managed Olivia Newton John’s “Koala Blue” fashion stores, hosted the first ever wedding at the fabulous Casa Loma, co-founded the Stowe Theatre Guild and produced dozens of full scale stage musicals. It was time to launch her own wedding and special event company.

Fast forward 30+ years, and hundreds of glorious weddings later, Nancy loves her career path now even more than when it began.  After all, it is the business of making dreams come true, and helping families celebrate life’s greatest milestones. No greater honor could there be!

2020 – the year where the world took pause due to the global pandemic.  During this time of reflection Nancy thought about “What’s Next” for herself and her business.

In the late Spring of 2021, NJOY Event Planning will become NJOY WEDDINGS & EVENTS.  

This renaissance will complete Nancy’s journey from the catwalk to center stage, and ultimately down the wedding aisle, incorporating many years of experience in fashion, live theatre and special events to bring completely innovative, one-of-a-kind fantasy wedding events for couples who imagine to DREAM BIG!

Extraordinary events happen with innovative thinking, precise planning and exact execution.  Our team of highly skilled and dedicated experts work in concert on design and execution, with in-depth attention to every detail.  We assemble these nonpareil collaborators – the best in their industries – from the world of hospitality’s white-glove servers, to theatre consultants and lighting experts, to builders and engineers.  Our creativity flourishes in collaboration, and we can do it all!

In addition to launching the rebrand, and after serving six years on the Board of VAWP, Nancy is excited to accept the challenges of Secretary on the Board.  The member-focused demands of 2020 and now 2021 within our industry have brought together dedicated and selfless individuals who wish to serve our greater community.  Nancy looks forward to working with them to promote the overall goal to develop and sustain a statewide network of wedding professionals dedicated to promoting the industry in Vermont.
