Emily Ellis

Born and raised in Southern California, it was love at first sight when I initially visited Burlington and Vermont on a scouting trip to the University of Vermont. I graduated from UVM in 2014 and have lived in Vermont since…it’s amazing how quickly 14 years can go by! During my college years, I started in the Vermont wedding world as an event intern at ECHO Lake Aquarium and was eventually hired as one of their event coordinators. After I graduated from UVM, I was hired as an event coordinator for Sugarsnap Catering and managed events ranging from just a few guests to over a thousand.
In 2016, I was initially hired by The Essex Resort & Spa as their Wedding Coordinator. I have since been promoted to Wedding Sales Manager, Senior Wedding Sales Manager, and, most recently, Associate Director of Sales & Marketing.
I am a proud member and active participant in my small town of South Hero. While I enjoy—at least, most aspects!—of my job and spend a lot of time with our lovely couples, I also love summers in Vermont. I spend those months gardening, canoeing in Lake Champlain, and camping in the great Green Mountains. During the winter months, you can find me
reading, cooking, traveling, and planning for the upcoming wedding season!
