Why Join VAWP?

What Does VAWP Stand For?

Our mission is to support and enhance the Vermont wedding industry through professional development, networking opportunities, and government advocacy. That mission is built on four core values that shape everything we do.

Community

A safe, uplifting space where Vermont wedding professionals support one another and build lasting professional and personal relationships. This is an industry where collaboration beats competition, and our members live that every day.

Inclusivity

We accept and celebrate all marriages and all wedding businesses, regardless of gender, race, religion, or sexual orientation. Our members share that commitment.

Education

The wedding industry evolves constantly. VAWP keeps its members ahead of the curve through expert-led seminars, live webinars, and an annual conference packed with practical, actionable learning.

Advocacy

The wedding industry is a vital part of Vermont's economy and its identity as a destination. VAWP works directly with local leaders and legislators to make sure the needs of our members' businesses are heard and met.

It’s that human factor that elevates VAWP

One of the most impressive things about being a member of this organization has been getting to know our professional collaborators. VAWP members come together to discover more about one another and their businesses through networking events and educational conferences. It’s during these gatherings that we truly hear one another’s stories. It’s that human factor that elevates VAWP, allowing us to see exactly who the people in our industry are.

Build deep connections and maintain essential industry relationships

Peak Entertainment has been a member of VAWP since day one. The biggest benefit to our members comes from showing up, networking, and interacting with colleagues in an environment where we actually have time to talk, socialize, and catch up on life and family. It helps us build deep connections and maintain essential industry relationships. VAWP is a wonderful organization and incredibly beneficial for connecting Vermont's wedding community.

VAWP made us realize we weren't in this alone

We’re a longtime member of the Vermont Association of Wedding Professionals. After 25 years in business, we thought we had hit our stride, until the pandemic hit. VAWP made us realize we weren't in this alone. We brought venue owners together and met weekly for over 150 Zoom hours to navigate it together.

VAWP turned sectors full of competitors into lifelong colleagues and friends

We’ve long supported VAWP’s mission of providing world-class wedding products and services to couples in Vermont. VAWP relentlessly fought for a voice and essential aid to sustain wedding professionals throughout the pandemic. Most importantly, VAWP turned sectors full of competitors into lifelong colleagues and friends.
